It’s time to bring business back to Chicora-Cherokee

We’re definitely picking up steam at Fresh Future Farm. Please mark your calendar to come out and support us for the following events:

Saturday, September 20 – Germaine will lead a discussion on urban farming as part of the free United Methodist Church’s Faith and Food Justice Workshop from 10 am till noon. There will be an optional tour of Chicora Place Community Garden after the workshop.

Thanks to all that visited EVO Pizzeria in August to eat and donate to our cause and to Park Circle Film Society for inviting us to their End of the Summer party yesterday evening.

“Extra Virgin Oven (EVO) is fresh, honest, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, expertly and simply prepared with seasonal, local ingredients. We support local farmers and are passionate about using only the freshest ingredients (evopizza.com).”

For the entire month of August, EVO Pizzeria patrons can support Fresh Future Farm. Bread and pastries that are not sold at their bakery each day are sent over to the pizzeria for customers to grab with their meals. They are invited to make a contribution that will support our work. Take it from us, their menu has something for everyone.

EVO is open Monday – Saturday, 11 am – 2:30 pm for lunch and 5 – 10 pm for dinner. We are asking our supporters to check out this Park Circle eatery that was voted #1 Pizza in South Carolina and Top 50 Pizzerias in the US by Food Network Magazine in August 2011. Some of EVO’s farm fresh ingredients could soon be grown 3 short miles away. Mangia friends!!!

My husband and I plan to munch on some EVO pizza very soon.
