A Superbowl Recipe from the Farm

At Fresh Future Farm, we don’t keep up with the latest sports news. While mini of our team would consider themselves sports savvy, football stats, for example, aren’t enough to hold our interest. Fortunately, our security guard (and in-house pop culture journalist) watches every game and comes to work to report the highlights. He reminded us that the 2025 Super Bowl is coming up this Sunday (February 9), which brought up the best part about the Super Bowl — the food. Here’s a snack to add to your pre-game lineup while you wait for the real show to begin at halftime (the second-best part).

Coleslaw with Mustard Greens

  • 1 head cabbage, finely chopped

  • 2 head broccoli, finely chopped

  • 3-4 mustard green leaves, finely chopped

  • 2 carrots, finely chopped

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 Tbsp dijon or stone ground mustard

  • ⅓ cup white sugar or honey

  • ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar

Mix cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and mustard greens in a large salad bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar until smooth and the sugar or honey has dissolved. Pour dressing over the cabbage mixture and mix thoroughly. Cover bowl. Refrigerate slaw for at least 2 hours. Re-mix before serving.
