Social Media Intern


Location: North Charleston, SC

Takes still photographs and videos for the company

  • Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for creating and developing visual storytelling across multiple platforms consistent with the brand look and feel.

    • Takes digital stills before, during, and after events and of products.

    • Responsible for production planning, including lighting design, & general styling.

    • Responsible for creation and various elements of production and post-production including but not limited to; video editing, using motion graphics, sound design, color correction, retouching, and color correcting.

    • Edits, crops and selects final images for company needs.

    • Maintains all equipment necessary to do the job, such as cameras, lights, and computers, including management of props and backdrops and sourcing additional props as needed.

    • Maintains ongoing thorough awareness of industry trends for visual content.

    • Maintains the environment in a clean and professional manner.

    • Fosters and maintains good business relations on behalf of the company.

    • Develop creative storyboards or compositions for review.

    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Education/Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Skills Required

    Language Ability: Talking to others to convey information effectively. Communicating effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; Adobe Photoshop; design software; Internet software and database software.

The intern is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Compensation

    $15-$20/hour, depending on skill level
